The astrologer and the doctor both said,

1. The astrologer and the doctor both said,
"Bodies will not be resurrected." I said to them,

2. "If what you say is true, I have lost nothing;
Or if what I say is true, the loss is upon you both."

3. I purified my garment for prayer and faced it;
It is pure. So where is the purity in both your bodies?

4. And I remembered my Lord in consciences as a companion;
With that he made my eternity pleasant, while he made both your eternities desolate.

5. And I woke up early in the two cold seasons seeking mercy from Him,
While you two are not protecting yourselves from the cold in your two garments.

6. If the benefits do not return to me by what I do,
Is there one who can bring them back by your two hands?

7. The cold of the pious, even if its weave is worn out,
Is better, by God's knowledge, than both your garments.
