1. A man is like a fire that seems small in its place of origin
Then rages fiercely when it burns hot
١. المَرءُ كَالنارِ تَبدو عِندَ مَسقَطِها
صَغيرَةً ثُمَّ تَخبو حِنَ تَحتَدِمُ
2. And people, both city and rural folk, need each other
Though they may not feel each other's service
٢. وَالناسُ بِالناسِ مِن حَضرٍ وَبادِيَةٍ
بَعضٌ لِبَعضٍ وَإِن لَم يَشعُروا خَدَمُ
3. And every organ has a function it performs
The hand does not walk, rather the foot walks with you
٣. وَكُلُّ عُضوٍ لِأَمرٍ ما يُمارِسُهُ
لا مَشيَ لِلكَفِّ بَل تَمشي بِكَ القَدَمُ
4. And it's a world where speech has differed
With an Originator who is eternal
٤. وَعالَمٌ ظَلَّ فيهِ القَولُ مُختَلِفاً
وَمُحدَثٌ هُوَ مِن رَبٍّ لَهُ القِدَمُ
5. So do good for yourself that you may be pleased with it
For if you do you will, if not, regret will return to you
٥. فَاِذخَر لِنَفسِكَ خَيراً كَي تُسَرَّ بِهِ
فَإِن فَعَلتَ وَإِلّا عادَكَ النَدَمُ
