1. Wisdom indicates a wise, capable, unmatched Lord
In His glory and perfection

2. Wealth is the soul's seducer, no defender
And poverty brings death through neglect

3. Or have you not seen the wisdom in the stars' arrangement
The house of life preceding the house of wealth

4. From all six directions my Lord walls me in
Not once to my right or left

5. Our souls paired like souls
In good and evil since youth and old age

6. A man was and will be as I found him
In both abolishment and enactment

7. The people grew heavy with misguidance and roamed astray
Drunk on wine, so wondrous the plenty of plenty

8. A people who sang muddled, straying from guidance
So piles doubled with piles

9. They are the confused, their lives short
Yet hope for the longest hopes

10. You would not meet any but an ignorant rationalist
Adorned by them without beauty

11. Like beasts made blind to their guidance
Bearing only heavy burdens

12. Your world is sustenance that later reminds
Of other sustenance got by righteous deeds
