1. Your cavalry steeds are given their due
When their forelocks are bloodstained in combat
١. فَوارِسُ خَيلِكُم تُعطى مُناها
إِذا دَمّى نَواجِذَها الشَكيمُ
2. And in the white blades of swords is life
By this know the words of the wise.
٢. وَفي بِيَضِ السُيوفِ عَيشٍ
بِذَلِكَ فَاِعلَموا نَطَقَ الحَكيمُ
