1. The years pass by me one after another
And those are the graves of people around me
١. يَمُرُّ الحَولُ بَعدَ الحَولِ عَنّي
وَتِلكَ مَصارِعُ الأَقوامِ حَولي
2. As if with spades they dug for my neighbor
And took their spades and prepared for me
٢. كَأَنِّيَ بِالأُلى حَفَروا لِجاري
وَقَد أَخَذوا المَحافِرَ وَاِنتَحَوا لي
