1. If you do not tire of your brother in his affliction
And if his hopes and desires betray you
١. إِذا أَنتَ لَم تَملَل أَخاكَ بِقَلبِه
وَخانَتك آمال لَهُ وَمَطالِب
2. You make life bitter for him and bring down
Upon him through it dire consequences in adversities
٢. غَدَوتَ بِه مُرَّ المَذاقِ وَأجلبت
عَلَيهِ بِه في النائِباتِ العَواقِب
