1. O prince, we have not seen
One like you, so virtuous, O prince

2. O Abu Al-Abbas, O sun
And O shining full moon

3. O great in mind and manners
Since you were little

4. By whom we would not lie if we said
He was peerless one day

5. Your feast has come, poetry
About you that made it fervent

6. After preceding the dangerous poetry
Of one who was hazardous

7. Good diction that emulates
Its composition like ample pearls

8. It filled the body with healing
And delighted the heart with joy

9. It was from the occurrence of complaining
And from my time, helper

10. What I store of gratitude is not
For me a little

11. I will dedicate from it a garden
That neighbored from you a stream

12. How much hardship returned to me from
The goodness of your blessings easy

13. It may be seen that the servant even if
He says little of his Master says much
