1. As long as my Lord is with me, I remain wakeful
What a pleasant companion! Let the night owl try to seduce me

2. A stream of mercy engulfs my loneliness
And my soul shines forth and appears

3. Intoxicated, singing praises in the kingdom
Enveloped in friendship, the charming enchanter

4. It is concerned with revealing the secret but below it
Are veils of wisdom of its Lord and screens

5. The full moon seemed uncovered and shining
Displaying itself while its brightness surrounds me, dazzling

6. That I may say some poetry about it, I wonder
Who informed the planets that I am a poet

7. In remembering You, O God, my night passes
So I am the loving forgetful one, the rememberer

8. The repenting, content, turning back, pleased one
Your rulings are just, the sharp confused one

9. The heart has repented from worshiping servants so it no longer
Is that wavering, dull-witted one, stubborn

10. O night, be long in appearing, you must
Stay awake, I will expose your disbelief in you

11. O Lord, remembering sins melts me
Regretfully, for the past time was wicked

12. O Lord, I now repent, is there a glance
That the late regretful one may be granted

13. And the clouds of Your approval are all-encompassing
And with the light of Your guidance how many stumblers were eased

14. Will You accept from me, the repentant one, and erase
The cause of punishment and the grateful one rests

15. Your mercy, O my Master, I lament
The past so let its harm in the present go

16. I call You in peace, O Peace and Mercy
For I am the lowly one and You are the Vanquishing Lord

17. Weakness made me sit crying, hoping
For pardon, and You are the Helper, the Able One

18. If You were not for the sinful ones, then who are they for
O Lord, who but You pardons sins

19. O Splitter of dawn, prepare a flash
With which I fold up the world, guided, and travel

20. Palaces pass with their ignorance and bliss
While the Truth the mornings uncover as graves

21. Indeed, its light is in my conscience
So when will the observer see the lamp in me

22. For the travelers in life there are insights
With which on the Day of Reckoning fates are blessed
