1. The existence of people is strange
There are similar and scattered groups

2. Communities upon righteousness
And communities upon evil

3. They said our land is a sphere
Surrounded by the heavens

4. So beyond their skies, what is there?
Guidance or misguidance?

5. And beyond things, is there anything?
Or have distances come to an end?

6. And does their end continue
Into the endless eternities?

7. Both views are rejected
By intuitive reason

8. O people do not despair
For there are many signs in the unseen

9. And God has many secrets
Covered by ignorance

10. So live in His worship
And miss opportunity like those who missed it

11. Stop searching fruitlessly
With the intellect, for it fragments

12. Eat, be pious until your term
For worship is your duty

13. And deeds that will benefit you
For your worldly life is temporary

14. Giraffes inhabit it
And giraffes abandon it

15. All depart without benefitting
From what they wore and consumed

16. I see the living in ignorance
Their claims are myths

17. And every secret is uncovered
The morning after death takes them
