1. Those at the tables should share their crumbs
With the ants, though their gift be small

Thank Him with kindness to your family

8. And hold to the limits of law as supererogation
And drink from the spring of duty and extra

9. Do not give yourself all it desires
And benefit your loved ones, for you are for all

10. When you are safe, count your blessings with thanks
And when you promise, forgive the delay

11. Bread and clothes are enough in life
So be content, spurning humiliation

12. The universe is but a stage of wonders
And man passes through like a shadow

13. Beware idleness and passion
And take example from the bees

14. Mixing with the heedless is a slippery slope
That the negligent and erring may avoid

15. How much treasure did we lose in regret
As I lingered, infatuated, toward death

16. Indulgence is the bridle of the foolish
While you have the choice, so take the best path
