From the temptations of the misguided

6. I sinned in my heedlessness at times
With what I know and You know

7. A decree from You surrounds me
With a command You judge

8. Except regret for what I have done
That I unfold and fold

9. Crying in the night like a sword
I become awake in its darkness

10. And I repented and no longer hoped
For a hope I wished for

11. Perhaps I hope too much
For forgiveness You grant

12. For no good overflows upon me
Except You, the Grantor

13. And the best of good is preparing me
For the day we meet in it

14. With pardon and forgiveness
And kindness I will find
