1. Solitude called me to my oneness
I rejoiced, shutting my chamber

2. None was there except me and my yearning
With the best of prophets in my retreat

3. My hours are richer when sharing with me
Knocking on my head with solitude

4. I judge myself for what has busied it
Inciting my heart against my repentance

5. O my soul, miss the love of all those
I was infatuated with in my heedlessness

6. Lest I unleash my passion upon you
So God may reward you, my self-command

7. He will clothe your body in the garb of grief
And give you to drink a draft from the chalice

8. No water in it to wet the throat
But a spirit from Paradise

9. And Abdul Rahim the cupbearer
Circling with it at the hour of rest

10. Hearts are delighted, sorrows forgotten
Wrongdoing dismissed from the chosen ones

11. I seek God's forgiveness for the sins of my time
Wasted in heedlessness

12. I seek God's forgiveness for the crimes of my time
Obeying desires

13. I seek God's forgiveness for all that
Violates my law among my nation

14. I seek God's forgiveness for all that
My eye was filled with from my neighbor

15. I seek God's forgiveness for all that
Abu Murrah called me to

16. And for the anger of parents that
Leads children to misery

17. And for some family and kin
And ill nature among companions

18. O Lord, be my guide on the path
The path of guidance, and answer my prayer

19. For the love of Muhammad and his followers
And the sheikh of the path and his family

20. Prayers be upon him, peace be upon him
The messenger of good tidings and mercy
