1. You seek the knowledge of the unseen or its secret revealed
Yet you are guests in this world just briefly here

2. One should not seek much knowledge when one's travel is brief
Rather when the journey ends and one finally settles

3. Do you know what is in your own souls
And comprehend the essence of what eyes and ears hear

4. Pages of the virtuous have passed so whoever desires
May remember verses bearing line and narrative

5. Sufficient for you from God is life and His grace
With sustenance for you of love and fruit

6. For you He subjugated the skies, water and land
And by His grace subjugated the sun and moon

7. He held back the torrents of water flooding the land
And had it burst forth, nothing of you would remain

8. And of His wonders, raising the sky and its sun
Had it been lower, it would have melted and fused us

9. And He set a regulated path for the celestial orbits
Each orbit swimming has an appointed destination

10. And of His mercy, He left not the earth a wasteland
So from His bounty, He sent clouds with rain

11. For whom is all this, for man - if only he
Remembered God's favor, rested or gave thanks

12. And surrendered all affairs to God alone
For all matters of creation are in the grasp of destiny
