1. O inspirer of poetry, you have seduced me
One day I will set my affairs in order

2. Time has accompanied me until
It has filled me with arrogance

3. So I have harvested with it the loftiness
And we have wandered through palaces

4. We have visited every nation
In its homes and borders

5. And I said, describe it in poetry
Where are my lines among them

6. For it has much scope
For beauty behind the veil

7. And all this was undertaken
After flourishing youth

8. Nothing remains except seizing the remainder
With a short life

9. For with God I have
The matter of the difficult reckoning

10. It has fooled my mind
And we have gone for a stroll

11. We have sown the land with travel
And sailed the seas

12. And promised calamities
To the people of the sinful world

13. It has made me a shepherd
Before truth and lies

14. And it has many confidants
While God is between the cheeks

15. O inspirer of poetry, you have seduced me
You have distracted me from my fate

16. I will spend it in the best of ways
From the Subtle, the Expert

17. Is it not enough, my downfall
And my sleeping in the bed
