1. The meaning says with a woeful heart
Tears of sorrow upon my cheek persist

2. Oh eye, shed tears and lament
And wail like the fountain of Siyam

3. The fires of my heart, whenever I say they’re extinguished
I feel their embers within my ribs smolder

4. Oh fire of my innermost being, burn my core
It’s unlawful to kill lovers, unlawful

5. With sorrows, the mountains fail to carry
It crumbles under their weight and sleeps on the ground

6. And it says the heavy burden makes its sides collapse
Calling on towering summits to demolish

7. Oh my beloved, none had her before me
With all her charms, from the abodes of Sam and Ham

8. A contained beloved does not come a quarter that of mine
Nor one destined by decree for execution

9. Nor has anyone suffered a plight like mine
Nor if they perished, tears of pitch poured forth

10. Nor have gazelles grieved like my grieving
Nor has any bird wailed like a dove

11. Nor has any leaf suffered like me
Nor has any wolf howled in the darkness of night

12. All sorrows have clung to mine
Then after, I mastered and tamed them

13. Oh you who know, who is learned of my afflictions
With a voice in the land of Arabs and Syria

14. Days are shifting, your absence their essence
Serving you a cup of sorrows to sip

15. Time betrayed the young man, a treacherous cheat
Putting a bit in the mouth of one who charges forth

16. If your dwelling was between the heavens
It would make you descend after ascending straight

17. If I were like the bull in war and battle
I would gore the lifetime that spears me head on

18. If I donned armor of war in its entirety
It would strike me with but a blade of grass

19. By God, time is a traitor who stomped the heroic
Before, people said they have no bridle

20. After this, oh fire of my heart, ignite
And speak of the passage of time

21. If the sleeper falls asleep and slumbers
It’s wrong for my eyes to taste sleep

22. I frightened the Pleiades and Scales in the sky
So that the eyes of the wakeful do not sleep

23. Rise like one woken by fire and tumult
So that the eyes of the wakeful do not sleep

24. And knowledge of my immense sorrow is upon my cheek
One who saw me crazed, said enough

25. Oh he who sympathizes, feel some of my torment
And you will come to a moment of sudden death

26. The first door of my shining sight
Was destined for darkness and gloom unjustly by God

27. Wrongly they equalized my stature
And whoever says, I say the unjust err

28. Second is the dispersal of my family and power
Secretly, in whole, and partially in union

29. They betrayed us with the trumpet, God betray them
And break them and give victory to Islam

30. Who believes the betrayers, they have no peace from me
But my words today are blame

31. And third, the separation of the beloved ones
In them bones of loved ones tossed about

32. My hope was to rest my cheek upon them
And of the world I say peace

33. And my bones mingle with their remaining bones
And the soul by decree of the All-Knowing

34. And fourth, the loss of loving friends supporting me
Calling my thoughts and pillars to crumble

35. Whoever tasted the torment of lovers and was content
With others, this is impossible talk

36. Nor does loss of money bring me joy
Money is an enemy like a passing cloud

37. And if something departed whose account confuses
I’m not in any state, even if dreams come true

38. These are our trials and our answers
And the heart from carrying them is compressed

39. Oh my friend, stop blaming and leave me be
It is enough, the evil of fleeting rulers

40. Protect me from lengthy explanation and suffice
And state meanings precisely judged

41. Oh you who travel from us to Huzaia
The saddlebags of the sea are what pulls you, without knowledge

42. Unfasten its saddlebags atop its tall cargo
And tie its sides and straps

43. All treasures embedded in its saddlebags
Of special making by non-Arabs and Romans

44. Of silk and brocade, sheer is its garb
And its headdress in ostrich feathers

45. Embroidered produce coming out in bundles dyed
Made with gold threading and adornments

46. And food of Turkish lands, a month’s provisions
And sheep meat in mounds

47. Hang your provisions in the rear of its gazelles
And a polished sword made by non-Arabs

48. And gird it with a wide green belt
Ancient touching like the neck of a dove

49. And single pistol made by Romans you carry
And two by the stirrups before

50. Oh you who interpret, let me make clear to you
Nothing less than what determines the expert

51. First, beware, do not feel safe from separation
And at night, let not your eye taste sleep

52. And second, make your journey by night
Until the darkness comes, we sleep

53. They await you, those who want your demise
In the open lands and ruler of rulers

54. It extends from me openly and spaciously
From Qusayr journey, oh protector

55. Your path mountains of Adhma lead you
And a walking in Turkish lands not twisting

56. To Shanqara with Sanqara and its meadows
And Yawzabad where the wind blows and sleeps

57. To the villages that revive your path
Countryside of the orphan, lost in darkness

58. It extends from the beloved ones longing
Then convey a thousand greetings of peace

59. I do not know names in Turkish lands
But you will find the valiant men expert

60. The head of the clan, if you come to Qaisariya
Malik Abu Qasim Hamid will receive you

61. Good tidings, oh wolf of the wilderness, oh brother of Sheikha
Honor of the Dakheel and comfort of the compressed

62. Rustling from Makir, boiling elite
Countryside of the orphans and protector Hisham

63. Who fulfilled desires of the poor and conquered them
And the stingy one splits with food and feast

64. You will find him overflowing with generosity
And never refusing a day of overflow and knowledge

65. If I described a feast the colors of which are uncountable
And dishes in which meat and sauce appear

66. With a cheerful face that delights the guest unquestionably
And he is not one whose taste is bland

67. He gives purses without considering their colors
And grants freely without belittling a reward

68. Oh comfort of the compressed, none rivals you
How excellent is one whose beard and mustache are not

69. If I said you are Hatim, father of generosity and nobility
And if I said Antara in battle, protector

70. Oh Hatim of the generous, oh owner of gift
Oh Antara the horseman, oh audacious

71. Rest your forearms and tear open the sealed letter
And give my letter and open the seals

72. And rest after demands and journeying
In the shadow of generous brother Sheikha, sleep

73. Greet them for me, oh my messenger, all of them
In Qaisariya and its total environs

74. Oh what loss, oh sheikhs of the mountain in our lands
Living in monasteries of the Turks, pillars

75. Valiant in strength, noble in generosity
Oh how many orphans they raised in their abodes

76. They dress the wounds of the Turks and free them
A bird told us above the emigrants, forbearance

77. Wicked among all the lands combined
Their rulers likewise children of illegitimacy

78. Repeat my words and greetings
As many as the sea’s waves, without number

79. Specify Abu Muhammad Ismail amongst them
Successor of defeat in battle, steadfast

80. I have no request of you all
This is my speech, truth of peace

81. And I conclude my peace with prayers upon the Prophet
Best of creation, master of banners

82. Interceding for us on the Day of Reckoning from its flames
And saving us from the abode of darkness
