24. They hate carrying wood on donkeys
While some are whale hunters

25. I ask you, my Creator, oh Most Kind
Oh God of the Throne, oh Lord of the Skies

26. Oh Exalter, oh Healer of broken bones
You are the Lord of people, none can judge but You

27. Oh Benevolent One, relieve this difficult situation
And help the oppressed among us in affliction

28. You, our Worshipped One, are the All-Knowing
We have no refuge but Your door

29. Thus we are, oh My Creator, and You are Able
For the Chosen One's honor and the prophets

30. Have mercy on those who are like the blind
Their eyes are open yet they cannot see

31. Every day we face raging fires and embers
From the Turkish army's attacks seeking booty

32. And afflictions, disasters, and burning chaff
Each determined to achieve what he desires

33. If I wanted, I could say much more
So much I have endured from the hands of enemies

34. But I will shorten it, a little suffices me
I hope the Guardian alleviates it from His heights

35. And my heart and conscience find peace
When seeing the beloved well-mannered youth

36. Pure as stars in the sky after sunset
I hurried to them but the wall appeared

37. Closed, cursed be the one who built it
The path to the open plain, we walked it and more

38. As we crept up on it from the east
They tore us apart and I cried bitterly

39. And fled terrified like prey hunted at night
As dawn rose the next day I travelled

40. Over strained muscles and sinews
You are pure if a bird is locked in a cage

41. Do not fear the path even if it is long

53. They serve honey and camels to the guest
And are quick to offer villages to visitors

54. The one who calls them when they march
With spears inspiring awe when thrown

55. They assemble a courageous and intrepid army
Provided for when they draw swords

56. They do not fear death though piles of bodies
Over the highlands they pursue the prey

57. Elders among them capable in their prime
Especially from the heads in the expanse

58. With generosity they pass around goblets and camels
And are quick to offer villages to the guest

59. The caller of whoever attends of them in the evening
Criticize me openly on the day of battle

60. Then your brother the formidable warrior
Successor to the late eminent Kasab

61. None can succeed Ismail but him
A lion succeeds a lion, wounding with his claws

62. Weaving a white egg, Badr adorning it
Ismail made it glorious, best of racers

63. Tell them about me, oh esteemed messengers
Blaming benefits not, it yields no solutions

64. How did the Pasha and the counsel trust
While you abandoned your people without peers

65. Why did you not consider your people with equals
When we were struck in the abandoned wilds

66. Before you, around us we were a warning
Between the two Shan'a, and Al-Lajja

67. I had no warning of what befell me
But one like you, may God forsake him, betrayed me

68. Those who believe them, small is their mind
Their foundation is built on treachery

69. Where did the Malati sheriff go and perish?

79. Whose foundation is faults built by the unworthy
Who betrayed them, blamed them among nobles

80. Even if the Turkmani swore oaths and warnings
The Abbasid, by God, lied even if he narrated

81. Whoever trusted the lines of the counsel’s paper
And its seal, died in the land of oblivion

82. Where is the Mustafa guide's covenant?
Where is God's order, abandoned by the vile?

83. Where is the assurance of the sultanate, was it trivial?

84. They think people, our state is but donkeys
Not seeing their own faults without guile

85. Their justice put the faithful in burning chaff
And the partisan, our lord's pardon shaded him

The military and the servants all refugees alike

87. Their justice made small and great equal
Woman and sheikh, hardship makes them equal

88. Giving two piastres to the great man
And the small, one, enough for him in exile

89. What use is two piastres if you harvest great yields?
And lentils, beans, and wheat are enough

90. They pay out sequins and fine silver
While those without dignity, it's as if they're blind

91. Those who hope for their mercy are fools
About their actions among nobles

92. Whoever falls into their grasp, gigantic enemy
None but the Lord of the Throne delivers him from evil

93. And dirhams out of sentiment, not desire
With a house neither willed nor wanted

94. Every fault is trivial next to their deeds
And any people's blame, they evaded

95. Then pray upon the guide prophet
The Chosen One, victor over enemies with him

96. Concluding for those who endured their afflictions in good
When we stand barefoot, deprived of all
