1. Gazelles upon the sea do not drown
Beneath them the boat stood up

2. For their paddling, dances beat in hearts
Braids of a glance flutter

3. Gazelles in them the madness of youth
With the head of the steed the young man plays

4. And in their lips the striking of drink
So gazelle tell me when do I drink

5. I looked upon beauty until I sinned
And does one like me enjoy sinning

6. And regrets who lived in youth
So heart tell me when do you regret

7. In it every day a new beauty
And I have no return to paradise

8. For the torture of hell is severe
Our life we spent in sin and disobedience

9. And obeying the beautiful one of houris and youths
And listening to carefree conversation

10. From a liar who is satanic in poetry
Shall I lack forgiveness of a soul I am indebted to

11. And who made love my faith
One day to account I will meet in its streets

12. A spirit like God of the throne the Merciful
And the angel guarding the fires has no

13. Accounting with me my account is with Contentment
Does a lover of beauty on the day of judgement have

14. Other than the breezes of spirit and meadows
Oh gazelles of the sea
