1. No mourner weeps for the noble beauty
That I weep for with noble poetry

2. I cry for that beauty so fair
With beautiful verse, and verse is fair

3. Today you are absent from a feast
A feast far from the soul's consciousness

4. I did not know the color of misfortune
After a feast immersed in misfortunes

5. You dwell in the valley of darkness
What led you to the land of darkness

6. With beautiful grass the deserts thrive
Then thrive with blossoming flowers

7. The grave has protected you from the deceitful world
The world is but deception within deception

8. And I see the sting of failure is disgrace
Like what you glimpse in those ruins

9. A moon that looks on with discomfort
If only I knew what this discomfort was

10. It and love are a specter of passion
That became with ardor a specter of sorrow

11. Oh, how remote is the full moon
It has become for me a trace of magic

12. O past, remote moon
Do not ask about me or my news

13. Without you I am a specter of fantasy
Without you I am a soul of beauty

14. I compose poetry and long for the impossible
So my life after losing you is impossible

15. O beauty in beauty and more beauty
And majesty in majesty and more majesty
