1. My lord, have you left any generosity
For people, or have you chosen yourself with beauty?

2. For I see them seeking the heights
By ways that do not guide the intelligent nor enrich.

3. It is the most populated flower that gathered us.
So whoever followed the ancients and was tempted,

4. It was enough for us to stand on every imitator.
Thus we lost and wasted perfection upon the mind.

5. And the ancients knew the value of their mind.
So they spent the night with knowledge while we spent the night with assumption.

6. Save me from the people of laziness, for I
See that being near them invites the brave to cowardice.

7. And do not forget me from the generosity of your advice for a moment,
For I am not self-sufficient without good advice.
