Besieging us like a lover's dreams patient.

With furniture's colors and noisy flurry.

13. They threw trenches and forts of war,
So the road seemed straitened and sore.

14. When I did the laundry and wrung,
It roared with thunder and lighting sprung.

15. The songs went on in a double strain,
Light's double in the clear terrain.

16. Glory to the Rewarder and Solace-Grantor,
How narrow is hope in every plight and corner!

17. We returned with laughter and company pleasant,
With dreams of gracefulness and the quiescent.
