Of war, and dispelled sorcery with conquest

ู…ู† ุญูŽุฑุจูู‡ู ูˆูŽุฃูŽุฒุงู„ูŽ ุงู„ุณูุญุฑูŽ ุจูุงู„ุบูŽู„ูŽุจูŽู‡

2. The Caliphโ€™s command reached him in haste
Calling him to truth when lies had led him astray

3. Let those who would ask of his affair know
That truth has prevailed overall

4. My soul found relief that his onslaught
Reached the breast of the channel instead of chest and nape

ูค. ู„ูŽู‚ูŽุฏ ุดูŽูู‰ ุงู„ู†ูŽูุณูŽ ุฃูŽู† ูˆุงูู‰ ุจูู‡ุงู…ูŽุชูู‡ู
ุตูŽุฏุฑูŽ ุงู„ู‚ูŽู†ุงุฉู ู…ูŽูƒุงู†ูŽ ุงู„ุตูŽุฏุฑู ูˆูŽุงู„ุฑูŽู‚ูŽุจูŽู‡

5. When he persisted lost in misguidance
Those staves recoiled and struck him down

6. The staff which he used to deceive people
When bringing firewood nearer to the flames of strife

ูฆ. ูƒุงู†ูŽุช ุนูŽุตุงู‡ู ุงู„ูŽู‘ุชูŠ ุบูŽุฑูŽู‘ ุงู„ุฃูŽู†ุงู…ูŽ ุจูู‡ุง
ู„ูŽู…ุง ูŠูู‚ูŽุฑูู‘ุจู ู…ูู† ู†ุงุฑู ุงู„ูˆูŽุบู‰ ุญูŽุทูŽุจูŽู‡

7. Oh shame of the vaunted pen, when they mentioned
That eloquence is attributed to pens

ูง. ูŠุง ุฎูŽุฌู„ูŽุฉูŽ ุงู„ู‚ูŽู„ูŽู…ู ุงู„ู…ูŽุญู…ูˆุฏู ุฅูุฐ ุฐูŽูƒูŽุฑูˆุง
ุฃูŽู†ูŽู‘ ุงู„ุจูŽุฑุงุนูŽุฉูŽ ู„ูู„ุฃูŽู‚ู„ุงู…ู ู…ูู†ุชูŽุณูุจูŽู‡

8. He stumbled, trailing his garments in shame
And his people smoothed over his clumsiness

9. The gloating of swords saddened him
When he grew weak and the clan betrayed him

10. How many sharp swords amidst the turmoil
No coat of mail or armor can withstand

11. Death's drops pour from their blades
As if a water-skin spilled from its carrier above

12. As if it were the flowing stream pulled
By the palm fronds bending as they direct its course
