1. I see a scorpion on his cheek,
And in my liver the scorpion's sting,
١. أَرى عَقرَبَ الصُدغِ في خَدِّهِ
وَفي كَبِدي حُمَّةُ العَقرَبِ
2. And on his cheeks the glow of flame,
And in my ribs an ember's spark.
٢. وَفي وَجنَتَيهِ شُعاعَ اللَهيبِ
وَفي أَضلُعي قَبَسَ المُلهِبِ
