1. Your abode is a cave and refuge for the weary,
And for the hopeful needy, a welcomed rose.

2. Your generosity is an ocean for the destitute, so if
The ships of ambition pass by your door, it is a harbor.

3. By Allah, I do not know if your radiant face
Is the light of dawn or if its light shines.

4. When the praiser begins his speech one day,
Each begins with what your generosity reveals.

5. For the religion of God, qualities have appeared from you
That indicate mighty triumph and foretell victory.

6. Thus are the clouds on the horizon hoped to pour down
When the glittering lightning illuminates.

7. If the full moon does not shine radiantly,
Then your face guides with more light and brilliance.

8. And if the pouring rain is miserly with its generosity,
Then your generosity fills the horizons.

9. So no drop but it seeks to possess you,
And no drop but is created from your clouds.

10. The light of guidance for the lost is never fading,
And the fire of battles for the warrior is not concealed.

11. When the Master Caliph Yusuf is mentioned,
The beautiful mention begins and ends with him.

12. And it suffices the composer of prose and verse that he
Falls short in what he masters and creates.

13. For Abu Al Hajjaj my Master is the ultimate authority,
When the icons are counted, he is the first.

14. When the horizons shine, they are for his assembly
From them the smoothed out seat.

15. And who would care about barely surviving
When his attainer is fully quenched when thirsty?

16. His caller invites while the shades are comforting,
"Come drink what you wish and delight yourselves!"

17. And whoever it has fully recovered will be cured by
The Victorious Master, healed and mended.

18. The honored hand stretches out a symbol from it
That he kisses while being the prosperous congratulated one.

19. He is the beloved king whose resolves
With them every successful purpose is prepared.

20. He rages while the swords are sharpened as if they
Repel from all places whoever dares.

21. And with good fortune before the sword, if war comes
He defends the religion and drives it back.

22. So the spear rests and terror frowns,
And the sword preaches while speech is stunned.

23. With him resolve and composure are imitated
When standards sometimes waver and relax.

24. The struggle of the supporters - he took on its burden -
A aspiration that does not care for the multitude of enemies.

25. The Chosen One saw from their victory that his grandson
In Mecca would suffice for many and be enough.

26. The Book of God praising a family is sufficient,
In Taybah, from them a good origin and source.

27. Indeed the Book of God, Majestic is His Majesty,
Has for it true speech from error remote.

28. When the most highly ranked Khazraj are counted, their virtues-
Who is Aamir or Sulaym or Tayyi?

29. My Master, no poet comes to describe you
Even if he were Al-Ta'iyy or a prophesier.

30. And how can a scribe intend praise and eulogy
When the mention of you is recited in the Book and read?

31. But O my Master, your command prevails,
So why does it delay in fulfilling the needs of a servant?

32. If one does not hope for refuge from your side,
To where, O Master of Caliphs, can he seek refuge?

33. If he has not picked a flower from the meadow of purpose,
In which shades for the dew can he find comfort?

34. The arrow of my hope hits its mark whenever
Eulogy shoots it - marvel at how it shoots yet misses!

35. Your bestowal is sweet for roses and whoever
Hopes it from his flower is not withered.

36. And my verse did not please but because it
Is in an ocean of bestowal - from your right, a pearl.

37. You remain, supporting the people of God’s religion
And protecting them from every adversity and sweeping it away.
