1. With the defender of the faith, patron of mankind, I have honor
My gaze does not turn away from him for other sights

2. To God I am a beautiful manifestation of his splendor
To every heart when greeted with it, passion stirs

3. A wondrous edifice, marveling at the workmanship, connected
To glory, singular in beauty, endowed with nobility

4. As though originating from the gardens of Paradise
These are chambers, above them chamber upon chamber

5. Like a garden whose blossoms would not wither
Or the full moon whose face would not fade

6. In exalting the meaning of beauty, agreed
But in my courtyard the sights differ

7. I face the garden when its breezes blow
And the branches around me bend with flowers

8. I stand alone while in my horizon are guiding stars
Some unveiled, others to be plucked

9. Perplexed in describing me, minds wander
Unable to grasp or sights turn away

10. Oh you who see of my beauty what captivates as adornment
Restrain yourself, for the beauty of my traits surpasses description

11. I have taken residence in the gateway of the King’s abode
Below it, glories stand still

12. My Master renewed my relics and perfected
What predecessors had neglected before him

13. This one made me, supporter of God's religion
As you know, such is the glory and honor

14. Master of existence, pillar of the kingdom, his Joseph
And whoever came upon him when ruin befell him

15. However difficult circumstances become I endure them
No palace except acknowledges its shortcomings

16. As if he is the full moon, his aura bewildered me
His words pearls, composed for him in a shell

17. I faced a sea of liquid topaz, its billows
As if drawing from the dew of his palms

18. Remaining in endless felicity forever
Immortalized in it until the scrolls are unfurled
