1. Delight like the flowers of the meadows laden,
Good tidings like the lights of dawn descending.

2. It is the work of God, the meaning of His being,
A path to what Your Highness desired, completed.

3. Not like one who foolishly sought rebellion,
Who sees the days turn from him though he comes to them.

4. He hoped for the abode of glory, not valuing it,
Having no way to escape the pasture of baseness.

5. Does he not know that the victorious king’s pleasure,
When declared, whatever he wills comes to pass?

6. He has traits of forbearance, knowledge, and clarity,
Surpassing all kings, preeminent and unequaled.

7. Prudence like a sturdy lion guarding its lair,
Resolve like a firmly planted spearhead.

8. Generosity like the rainclouds over the meadows,
Good tidings like the smiling dawn adorned.

9. He lowered himself in sincerity of faith,
And rose high, humbling the scheming rebel.

10. He came in garments of disgrace covering his shackles,
Crawling in humiliation and twisting within them.

11. He came while the treacherous faction surrounded him,
Having no hidden rancor that is not known.

12. Before he kept to the path of righteousness while they
Degraded him with their corrupt views, leading him astray.

13. Had the Master considered Joseph to be His caliph,
No difficult events from fate would have befallen him.

14. Had He opened the noble door, their hopes
Would have turned toward it, shining and sparkling.

15. But He only earnestly strove to be seen
As the Divine Decree willed, determining and deciding.

16. You were honored with kingship, made prosperous,
While he who opposed you now kneels, disgraced.

17. The adornments of kingship are gifts from You, one worn
As Your bounty desired, the other cast off.

18. The wonders surpass any detailed description,
Or well-arranged prose or meticulous poetry.

19. Reason was lost for a time in these events,
The transgressors gained what they craved when neglected.

20. A traitor and a deceiver was trusted among them,
A heretic and rejecter of truth was believed.

21. So that all the deceitful ones dispersed
And fled from the straight path, stumbling and faltering.

22. They showed ingratitude for Your blessings out of enmity,
Though You are the Bestower, Most Generous, Everlasting!

23. In Your presence they gained might and supremacy,
Finding in You shelter from woes, refuge and lodging.

24. The traitors imagined comfort from it in their fancy,
Ungrateful for the blessing in which they freely indulged.

25. He has returned to the goal which he hoped for,
Relying on none but You, hoping and trusting in You.

26. The sword of victory was appointed judge over them,
A just verdict as Your Exalted Will decreed and registered.

27. Tumult revealed its calamities like streamlets
Scattered over them from the Valiant King, descending.

28. Good tidings to you, O King of Kings, of tranquility
Completing what upright guidance willed and perfected.

29. If the loyal were fair, their souls and spirits
Would willingly be sacrificed, excited and fervent.

30. We already congratulated Your Highness on the arrival
Of glories, which the thoughtful beholder can deduce.

31. The luminous Datu glittering like a star, his qualities
Passed down, an enlightened guide, rightly guided, reliant.

32. This one is hoped for benevolence and generosity,
That one for attaining knowledge is anticipated.

33. Therefore the flowers of openings are picked,
And the garden of wishes, its boughs drooping and dangling.

34. The enemy of religion, You will soon imagine,
Vanquished before You, destined for quick destruction.

35. His homelands will become, while every devout believer
Exalts and declares Your Oneness throughout its regions.

36. O You carried on the excellent camel on journeys,
Whose tracks across the dunes are not obscure or hidden,

37. To the abode of intimacy, in whose landscapes
The attributes of Beauty are interpreted and made graceful,

38. To the dwelling of glory, which every hopeful
Exerts efforts and works hard that he may attain it.

39. Rest her, for she has reached the home of the Caliph
Whose precedence, dignity and patience are unequaled,

40. An Imam of wisdom, knowledge, who attains his goals,
Decisiveness, courage and lasting glory.

41. When the sincere turn to him, their deeds
Are accepted, as befits the Truthful and Praiseworthy.

42. The clouds of his generosity pour forth from his palm,
Flooding the horizons, overwhelming and shaming.

43. When we attend his noble court, what harm if a loved one
Or home should become distant?

44. I seek refuge from the Supreme that any faction
Will fail in longing love for the Court of Joseph!

45. One whom You have raised so high, O King of Guidance,
And one like You who bestows bounty and favors.

46. You have granted and secured me from what I feared,
So nothing left remains to dread or hope for.

47. You appointed me to the blessings I hoped for,
Beyond what could be imagined or supposed.

48. You clothed me in whatever robes of approval You wished,
So I paraded about in them, donning and wearing them.

49. How can I fulfil thanksgiving for Your blessing
Whose successive news is true, chained and linked?

50. So its vestments remained on this owned one,
Evenings pass, yet they do not change or alter.

51. Continue for the religion of God as the most noble supporter,
Your guidance sought and your existence asked for.
