1. O composer, describe the radiance of the night
Its causes are only from your own doing
١. أيها الناظِمُ صِفْ شهْبَ الدُجى
إنما أسبابُها من سَبَبِكْ
2. So unravel it into splendor and joy
And elevation or fame from your refinement
٢. فحُلاها في سَناءٍ وسَنىً
وعُلىً أو شُهْرَةٍ من أدَبِكْ
