1. Speak of the ruins after the departure,
Where the traveling camels were unpacked

2. For roses and pleasant shade,
And generosity reached its peak for the High One

3. And lowered for the bosom friend.
How many souls find comfort

4. In the tired breath.
And this homeland in which

5. Are the newlywed and the buried
Has honor high above the stars

6. With the Victorious Defender, the Guarantor.
And with Joseph, Granada is Egypt

7. And the Nile flows from its riverbed.
And passion toward its dunes

8. Has inclined all hearts.
If not for longing wrapping the air

9. No tears would flow.
If not for the excuse of the meeting

10. No sick heart would be healed.
If not for a girl who perplexed

11. The utterance of the eulogizer or the satirist,
I wouldn’t know the meaning of diversion

12. From the impossible task.
She came guiding and guided

13. Clear in evidence.
What excellent Arabic speech she brought

14. Original and pure.
What glory she gained

15. Among the supreme tribe.
She reveals the battalions of her books

16. With the endless eloquence or condenses them.
And she sought out guidance

17. To the path of righteousness.
She is the high-minded one related

18. To the excellence of Ali or Aqil.
And to the unique one of the age

19. The learned, the venerable.
From him a treasure is safely kept

20. Of praise or wish.
I dedicate to him plenty of eulogy

21. As he gifted me plenty.
His words, how many hardened sinners

22. Are humbled by them.
And by his justice, how many rebellious armies

23. Are turned small.
And by his preaching, how many hearts

24. Are softened and reconciled,
As he considers them like the red cliff

25. And the polished sword.
O son of the one whose traits

26. The scriptures of the Friend prophesied,
Say whatever you wish,

27. For you are my excellent consoler.
One who strayed from the guided path

28. Can be guided by your like.
My intent is to visit you, O peerless one

29. Between the rising of dawn
And the coming of night,

30. With a devotion to the family of Muhammad
That will not change.

31. After it, never will I seek
Any substitute for visiting.

32. I spur on my mount to your district
With love and passion.

33. O you who establish the rights of kinship
And virtues without inclining.

34. If not for rhyming couplets
I would not be content with little in description.

35. So begin with what you have accustomed me
Of your noble forgiveness.
