5. Indeed the best Caliph, the virtuous one of Caliphs
Past, present and future

6. The grand, lofty over ministers
Our kind, forbearing succor of the perplexed

7. The intrepid, pillar of the exalted state
Above the highest of passed and future Caesars

8. Rivaling Solomon of the age, resembling him
In every quality and deed

9. He filled the world with justice, his memory
Shining for all speakers and writers

10. His radiant days portrayed a sun
Beaming with brilliant light

11. Vanquishing the darkness of oppression at its rise
And erasing the clouds of the oppressor's injustice

12. With him our Levantine region prides itself
On security broadcasting good news

13. He revived the Divine Laws when they had
Nearly perished, adorning them with excellent rituals

14. How many paths made for the wayfarer
To aid the destitute traveler

15. And how much he strove to construct charities
And establish bridges over perilous ravines

16. Saving those crossing above from the horrors of danger
How much he brought back to obedience tribes

17. Who obey none but the grateful praising him
And how much territory he recovered reassuring

18. Nations, smoothing the rugged road
Erasing unjust taxes and fines

19. Extinguishing the scattered sparks of evil
Until his rule became a wondrous proverb

20. Reviving souls when they inhale its fragrance
Like the scent of sweet perfume

21. The rays of his justice dimmed the effects
Of that insignificant pretender

22. A hero, when warclouds gather he becomes
A lion over strutting ostriches

23. Or riding lightning, the tumult of his assault
Like the roar of a ferocious leopard

24. Neither Antarah amidst battles
Erased the fame of warriors like him

25. Not to mention he waged battle himself
With the dark-skinned, steadfast, cutting sword

26. While the enemy was adorned and armored
Routing under iron and fleeing

27. And if you wish to speak of his generosity
Speak of pouring clouds and abundant seas

28. Praise the protector who adorned him with faith
And radiant intention and noble nature

29. May the Mighty restrain the rain in our sky
By decree of the Almighty Able One

30. Thus the wisdom of our minister spared the land
With a pure heart and luminous spirit

31. And God answered his virtuous prayer
With abundant, heavy rain

32. Goodness came to every land they named
The year Akka was satiated by the River Kabari

33. Its regions prospered, its people praying
For him in every age and place

34. Since the determination was made to tame
The Kabari's surging, billowing waves

35. One day it submitted to his order without resisting
Fearing defiance when faced with dams

36. It flowed obediently before him, chained
With chains like strands of gleaming pearls

37. The waters were ashamed, meandering gracefully
Like the twisting of sugarcane

38. The torrents coiled around the pools
As every unruly lion kept its distance

39. And the strong citadel's landmarks
Grew splendorous with fame

40. Gloriously triumphant, proudly praising
The majesty and magnificent beauty

41. The supreme ones competed in praying
For their intrepid, triumphant minister

42. And I gloriously proclaimed, documenting:
Akka became more radiant with the water of Kabari
