1. The dawns of the blessed fast have risen,
Ordained by the Almighty to perfect piety.

2. With it the auspicious Saad appeared announcing
Good tidings, as the world donned what it drew forth.

3. And springtime came, its days advancing,
Exulting in this praiseworthy place of meeting.

4. The meadow's brides wore gowns of acceptance,
Their faces adorned with beauty and elegance.

5. The birds were summoned to sing melodiously
At the radiant smile of daybreak's oratory.

6. One you see observing the winds of morn,
Lamenting when they blow, the other masked.

7. And how often the night was stirred to song,
As the morn appeared rosy-cheeked and crowned.

8. The birds of dawn on the pulpits of branches
Recite the Majesty of the Just Creator.

9. And the sparrows chirp the tidings
Whereby the Lord removed woe from people.

10. Excelled with a fast whose days
Are days of renewing purity and integrity.

11. In it the meadows of our bodies and souls,
And with it we repent absolutely from grave sins.

12. And with it we attain every glory,
And with it we see the glorious, shining Feast.

13. So upon you, O Lord of majesty, eternal blessings
Forever renewed, while you possess permanence.

14. And greetings to the like of the like of Him
For the length of time, prospered and successful!
