1. You have guided and blessed Ibn 'Amr, and indeed
You have kept him from a blazing fire.

2. With your religion - a Lord unlike any other -
And your abandoning of pagan idols as they were.

3. And your understanding of the religion you sought,
Never heedless of your Lord's oneness.

4. So you awoke in an abode of honor,
Where you are entertained generously with no boredom.

5. There you meet the Friend of God, and you were not
Of the people a tyrant, falling into the fire.

6. And a man may attain his Lord's mercy
Even if he were seventy valleys under the earth.

7. I say, when I pass a fearful land,
Your affection does not show the enemies to me.

8. Your affection - the jinn had hoped for it,
While You, my God, are our Lord and our hope.

9. I worship a Lord who answers, and I do not see
I worship one who never hears the centuriesʼ caller.

10. I say, whenever I prayed in any open country,
Blessed are You Who has rewarded me for calling Your name.
