1. Oh, who will send 'Umar a message to warn him,
For I fear him greatly and am ready to depart.

2. I will flee to the clan of Tha'lab ibn 'Amr,
Though the clan of Jaram surrounds me on every side.

3. I seek refuge with the Lord of the Sacred House from him,
And the Merciful One when the Messiah rises in the east.

4. I left the lands and waters behind for you,
That I might move away from you, if moving away were of any use.
