1. His glances began to flicker alluringly,
How graceful is the doe and the young stag!

2. And there emerged from his teeth a shining moon,
But in it I found misguidance.

3. The smoothness of his cheek is clearer to whoever sees him
The blackness of his eye has a distinct beauty mark.

4. And union with him is forbidden when he appears -
I found in his words a coquetry.

5. I'm amazed by his smiling lips that showed
Us a pearl, though hail settled in the streams.

6. I testified with the honey of his saliva because
I saw bracelets on his wrists.

7. So wonderful is the beauty he contained
And which brought ruin to my heart.

8. I will complain of love as long as I live
And thank the one whose works are beauty.
