5. Clinging to the ropes of the sun out of greed,
And heading to a mirage that does not quench thirst.

ูˆู…ูˆุฑุฏุงู‹ ู…ู† ุณุฑุงุจ ู„ุง ูŠุจู„ู‘ ุธู…ุง

6. So he was not guided to success that gives him hope,
And when one loses direction, nothing avails him.

8. His efforts led him astray in his seduction,
As if he chose oblivion over consciousness.

9. I advised him and gave him advice warning him,

12. His ultimate goal that day was deprivation,
Had he obeyed and pleased you, he would not have been deprived.

13. You gave him bounty before this day,
But he was not among those who thank for bounty.

14. And he came seeking a kingdom from you that was not his,
So the two opponents argued over the lofty inheritance.

ูู‚ูŠู„ ุฎุตู…ุงู† ููŠ ุฅุฑุซู ุงู„ุนูู„ู‰ ุงุฎุชุตู…ุง

15. Until when he would not listen to judgment,
You two judged between yourselves with the Indian scimitar.

17. Its blade did not transgress justice,
Nor did it wrong the wronged, even if he was wronged.

18. The people, both present and absent, said,

But did not find in the fortress a shelter.

ูˆู…ุง ุฑุฃู‰ ููŠ ู…ู†ูŠุน ุงู„ุญุตู† ู…ุนุชุตู…ุง

21. He did not find a ladder to ascend to the sky with,
And had he thrown himself into the sea, he would have drowned.

ูˆู„ูˆ ุฑู…ู‰ ู†ูุณู‡ ููŠ ุงู„ุจุญุฑ ู„ุงู„ุชูู‚ู…ุง

22. And indeed, before giving him amnesty,
He had not felt death until he felt regret.

23. And he was fooled by those who called him to betrayal,
So he faced obstacles of death and plunged in.

ูุฌุงุกู‡ุง ุนู‚ุจุงุช ุงู„ู…ูˆุช ูˆุงู‚ุชุญู…ุง

24. I made him taste sweet pardon for his crime,
And your pardon of one who transgressed is generous.

ูขูค. ุฃุฐู‚ุชู‡ ุงู„ุนููˆ ุญูู„ูˆุงู‹ ุนู† ุฌู†ุงูŠุชู‡
ูˆูƒุงู† ุนููˆูƒ ุนู…ู‘ูŽู† ู‚ุฏ ุฌู†ู‰ ูƒุฑุงู…ุง

25. You pardoned him, but the pardon of the Capable,
And pardon is closer to piety, as is known.

ูˆุงู„ุนููˆ ุฃู‚ุฑุจ ู„ู„ุชู‚ูˆู‰ ูƒู…ุง ุนูู„ู…ุง

26. By God, you did not violate his sanctity,
And he remained respected with you until he passed away.

ูˆูƒุงู† ุนู†ุฏูƒ ุญุชู‘ูŽู‰ ุฒุงู„ ู…ุญุชุฑู…ุง

27. Perhaps the critic blames you out of foolishness,
And among people, the wrongdoer may blame you.

28. But, by your Lord, had he become tyrannical and unjust,
And did not pardon as you pardon, but instead took revenge,

29. I would have pitied him even if he had gained power over you,
For he would not have spared you or joined those you pitied.

30. Your Lord willed that you pardon with His power,
To manifest grace and distinction between you.

ู„ูŠุธู‡ุฑ ุงู„ูุถู„ ูˆุงู„ุชู…ูŠูŠุฒ ุจูŠู†ูƒู…ุง

31. And Allah knows, and the whole world,
Had Turki attained anything from Salem, he would not have been safe.

32. He continues to generously reward from his feats,
Thus the noble one rewarded nobility.

33. He and his fortunate grandfather competed
In what they attained of honorable character and shared it.

34. How excellent is his youthful appearance, a young man
Like a star guiding the path of righteousness since it rose!

35. Firm, bold, perfectly composed in war and battle,
He established himself in the abode of pride with stability.

36. A smiling face, and a frowning, awe-inspiring demeanor,
And a sword dripping blood from the brow of heroes.

ูฃูฆ. ุงู„ุจุงุณู… ุงู„ุซุบุฑ ูˆุงู„ู‡ูŠุฌุงุก ุนุงุจุณุฉ

37. From the breasts of loftiness is what is seen as downpour,
And from the souls of nobility is what cured sickness.

It came to us, bringing happiness, as we supplicate God for it,

45. The shining Basra and its souls rejoiced for it,
And the lofty had their happiness renewed and smiled.

46. God made an order easy which you actualized,
And God has wisdom in His decree.
