7. Why did you not heed sincere advice
And restrain your tears for what has passed?

And find fault to cut you off from me

Debating with tears and the grayness of life

16. My lamentations in them did not cease
Moistening anguish and irrigating echo

17. And I recall in them my prime of youth
The time of trysts and the days of youth

18. I attained with them what I desired
But it has passed and faded away

20. And I would hear from the melodies of the lutes
A speech that makes me fall passionately in love

And calls me to what is most desired

22. Words of sweet discourse would entertain me
Resembling in beauty the full moon of night

23. And I would spend time with them in a name
Like the face of a generous man and flower of meadows

24. So if after them you see me content
Even if in fantasy, it's not out of consent

Justify it by speaking of what is wished for

27. And make, by composing poetry, their mention
Into praise of Ali, the noble and lofty

ุจู…ุฏุญ ุนู„ูŠู‘ู ุฎุฏูŠู†ูŽ ุงู„ุนูู„ู‰

28. For in praising him is that which dispels sorrows
And in thanking him, freshness overflows

29. After him, wishes have no end
And none but him ascends to the highest peak

30. He lowered himself while being dignified
Lofty in station, sublime in pedigree

31. In his traces forever one pursues
And by his words forever one is guided

32. A refuge for all who come near
And those from the two worlds who are far

33. He renewed the virtues of his forefathers
The chivalry of the devout and fate of the foes

ุญูŠุงุฉ ุงู„ุนููุงุฉ ูˆุญุชู ุงู„ุนุฏู‰

34. Upon them descended the revelation of God
And through them shone dawnโ€™s guidance

35. How can anyone but them take pride
When their grandfather is the Chosen One

36. Whoever fears the tribulations of nights
Seeks refuge in their company from harmโ€™s way

37. Through them the fearful are protected
From calamities that should be feared

ูˆููŠู‡ ู…ุน ุงู„ุจุฃุณ ู‡ุฐุง ุงู„ุชู‘ูู‚ู‰

38. For them, when the field of men grows narrow
Are resolves unlike those of the white lions

39. Noble ones whose fires donโ€™t hide in darkness
Nor do their neighbors in times of distress

40. They passed away, and after them came their branch
And those who passed are like those who came

You'd think him among the black lions

42. He answers when the shriek calls him
A protector who responds when summoned

43. To whoever competes with him, he hands out
Nothing but the finest gifts from his own hands

And aspirations beyond what's hoped for
