1. Congratulations on this renewed joy,
May this eternal bliss last for you,

2. With it you attain every day a happiness,
That comes again on a day like yours tomorrow.

3. Joy, cheer, companionship and pleasure,
And repeated life celebrations with you,

4. Company of people with no one but the glorious,
And none but the noble esteemed amongst them.

5. When a newborn is born to their father,
For glory a newborn, and for glory he is born.

6. And when they marry him, it is from his loins,
With which the eyes of the noble are delighted and blissful.

7. He married one whose banner is beauty,
A beautiful one for him, masterly made.

8. And that is a union never to separate after,
And a bond all the days not to dissipate.

9. And a life of pure serenity as you wish,
None in time is a troubled life like it.

10. With the weddings on days of time and its prime,
When the flowers are watered and the doves coo.

11. The lips of the bushes smile at its beauty,
And the meadows bloom to the rivulets abundant.

12. The leaves clap in rapture for it,
With flashes like fires that kindle and subside.

13. The gardens wear in it adorned dresses,
Embroidered with smooth silk and heavy brocade.

14. It exudes from this spring scented breezes,
On which the breaths of summer are kindled.

15. The rainclouds watered it until it appears
As if pearls line its twigs interlaced.

16. Laden with berries its lightning bolts
Are flashes of fire that flare up and die down.

17. The dew of Abdul Ghani shows me its train
On the scorched liver most delicious and cool.

18. Of the people in every field of glory
They envied the arrogant clay and distanced it.

19. When we shake it we shake a trembling one,
Far from it the lofty and shaking one.

20. And when the simile is far from it, it is
A sword stripped for the vicissitudes of fate.

21. You see the necks of people inferior to it,
And among people there is inferior and superior.

22. No worth approaches its worth and height,
And no hand rose above its hand in the world.

23. For it is the highest fortune over all fortunes,
And after that pride, pride and fortunes.

24. God gathered all perfections in it,
So it is unique amongst all creations.

25. Unique amongst all people in its beauty,
No atheist doubts its oneness today.

26. Nor do the envious deny any of its virtues,
Do the envious deny what cannot be denied?

27. Baghdad seeks refuge in it from what harms her,
So he is her excellent rescuer, sword drawn.

28. He protects her from arrows of misfortune, so she is not touched
When a well-aimed arrow for calamities is shot.

29. He protected her while no other protector,
And none but God in all matters supports him.

30. And Abu Mahmoud stood in every position,
The banner of praise on him twists and knots.

31. And how many fights flared up with their sparks flashing,
And the blades of youth shone and he is most valiant.

32. And an ambition raised him that reached with him
From glory however high you climb and ascend.

33. And he trampled terrors with the ambition
That has as foothold the high-soaring eagle's nest.

34. So he showed while the coward's brother hid himself,
And the brave of people attained what he aimed for.

35. Prisoners of that frowning face, and the day is black,
And white of that deed, and the day is dark.

36. Both honorable, telling of glories, both exalted,
With them this time begins and ends.

37. Travellers journey with them east and west,
One being blamed among them, and another praised.

38. The trusted ones transmitted them from you,
Stories of glory, stories of your height, narrated and supported.

39. I see lavish praise wherever you released it,
None confined my lord, it knows no bounds.

40. When the traces of your mention are recited among us
We lean as the Nu'shan bent with longing.

41. The reciter tastes through it the sweetness of a rememberer
Of praise recited at all times and chanted.

42. So O you who extends to people from your bounty a hand,
To which all the free are then most loyal.

43. For people from those springs a spring,
And for people from those meadows a meadow.

44. For you are all generosity, kindness and favor,
It is bounty, grace and God bears witness.

45. I do not say rain, and rain is thunderous,
I do not say sea, and the sea surges high.

46. None deprived of reaching your promise of bounty,
Nor flames from your gifts have a promised time.

47. It is as if in praising your heights I am an astrologer
Who observes for the celestial bodies to chart.

48. Do I dislike eloquence or seek wealth,
While for me you are treasure, inexhaustible by your Lord?

49. So my heart is still blissful in the tranquility
Of your eyes, as long as praise endures.

50. Two moons of glory, and if I say they slumbered,
A sky, and each of them is a planet.

51. Zaki married the best of the two potentials,
And by God's praise fulfilled what you intended.

52. I say to him when he married joyfully
With the pens' nibs flowing as they echo:

53. You married, may you be congratulated a dated congratulation,
And we are gladdened by this marriage, Mohammed.
