1. Oh you who will convey my greetings
To the president bringing order to Iraq

2. Sincere salutations of affection I send
To the spirited one of noble heart

3. And convey to him from afar my yearning
From one who prays for the magnanimous hero

4. His family has indeed risen over us
Like the rising of the full moon in the darkness of night

5. We will thank him for his past generosity
As the meadow thanks the traces of rainclouds

6. And for his overflowing kindness and loyalty
Keeping his word and protecting what is entrusted to him

7. My poetry has shone in praise of Nasir
With words that flowed freely in eulogy

8. The president praised him approvingly
With utmost respect and propriety

9. His friends rejoiced at my words
That ended all dispute and contention

10. His merit is acknowledged by his peers
The generous stand out from the mean

11. My praise made him a sword of the world
Rendering needless the bearing of arms

12. The counselor introduced him in days of woe
To face the reckless attacking rebels

13. O Lord, what a counselor and minister
Great of stature, high of rank, lofty of position

14. Zawra' shone because of him
And his resolve lifted Aleppo and Damascus

15. Iraq gained order through him
Boasting over others of its organization

16. He destroyed its corrupters with swords
And made them enter the fate of doves

17. He stretched out a victorious hand to Hasa
Attaining through its length the difficult goal

18. He struck the Najd rebels violating Iraq
A minister whose throw hits the target

19. He performed a magnificent, glorious service
With his resolve, for the Sultan of Mankind
