1. O noble lords of high descent, ever aspiring
To glory, elders and youth alike,

2. You shine as stars with honor bright,
Though stars may sometimes rise from flowers at night.

3. Good tidings bring you joy as when
A draught revives the body and the soul again.

4. Glad tidings of a boy who brings delight,
Foretelling bounty with his coming sight.

5. Since by religion’s light his face shone clear,
Sorrows and cares no longer linger here.

6. From Doha, by God’s own Messenger sown,
Branches and stems from him have fully grown.

7. With him they rise and soar sublime,
And glory lofty as Mount Qaf in time.

8. If noblest lineage you claim in full,
In glory prove such lineage as your rule.

9. O best of men, of all the noblest born,
Prevailing if weighed upon the scale adorned.

10. Blessed the child whose birth has graced this morn,
With Dawood bin Suleiman bliss is borne.
