11. They came to you like the lions of the jungle, attacking
Your enemies, protecting the whites with the dark-skinned

12. Their selves became trivial before you
In the honor of death or in the heat of danger

13. As if you drew them out of their determination
Swords they naturally carried, defective with age

14. And war rages against them constantly
While the spears paint the eye of the sun black with neighing

15. The cannons rumble and roar angrily
Their hellfire hurls the tyrants with embers

16. When fate takes some of its heroes as victims
There is in them the pleasure of sweet fragrance

17. With youths like Indian swords, polished
Purity of affection not marred by murkiness

18. They do not settle in a place they dislike
Nor are they humiliated in nomadic and urban areas

19. And how many men you gathered and emboldened
Teaching them warfare after cowardice and vileness

20. You breathed in them, so they rushed
To fight that ignites with hellish intense flames

21. You taught them how the sword swings its blade
While caution cannot protect from destiny

22. Whiffs from you stirred them
To courage like the stirring of the cautious felon

23. You alone in them are an army for the mountain
With your red banners darkening battlegrounds

24. And you, by God, are victorious, not by the army
So hail to the victorious through God, the victor

25. The people in its countryside and cities have succeeded
With one who commands what you wish and deliberates

26. You guide them in every perplexing situation
You spearhead them in every dangerous place

27. And how many awful great tasks
Can only be done with the mentioning of the sword

28. You are watching closely, waiting
For what God wills, not what man makes

29. You are gentle with the people however much
Their consciences are purified by gentle breezes at dawn

30. But the hatred hides in the hearts of those dissenters
Like latent fire in the stones

31. They returned so you returned to what you used to do
In your dark tribulation and turmoil

32. With the horses making their shoes play
The play of the armored one on the terrible day

33. And you stood delivering sermons on the edge of the swords
On the pulpits of zeal with verses and chapters

34. But the sword's tongue is more truthful in its conciseness
With eloquent speech summarizing the situation

35. They surrendered to your command after humiliation and obeyed
And your pardoning them was the pardoning of the capable

36. How many hands that are too long for them
God has made short with amputation

37. Since they returned, they have returned to doom
Because they were forbidden tyranny and transgression

38. Every year they have war and battlefield
And unforeseen death appointment

39. Whenever you wish, they are for you that day
Between fang and victory when facing death

40. Evil does not reach from them like it reached
In that past year of theirs which did not diminish

41. You met them with armies that rained blood
As showers of arrows rain from the bowman

42. How many foolish ones well known for their fame
Came to you from their non-Arabic tribes in droves

43. They do not know the forms of death that overburdens them
With humiliation and expels them to doom

44. God disgraced them in retreat as they were slaughtered
Like slaughtering sheep and cows before the successors

45. And their leader fled in fear, escaping
Until he hid behind walls and houses

46. If only death had destroyed him in doom
When his shame was hit, may God destroy his monastery

47. Verily the non-Arabs cannot be trusted with their service
They are the enemy so beware of them

48. Remove from the victorious army their dwellings
For their evil is not safe from harm

49. The ignorant arrogant cannot be reformed by deliberation
Unless he is diverted from deliberating

50. The corrupters in a land where they dwell
And those who openly commit evil and disgrace

51. God bless you, your determination did not precede
What it has done in the past eras

52. You sent to the radiant Basra to protect it
With the blade of might from its rumors

53. You purified it from the corruption that surrounded it
And did not leave a dissenter in it or abandon it

54. And you protected it from the evil of all people
Protecting the infant at birth with the full moon

55. You did your deeds which you did in it
