1. My Eid is the day of your recovery from illness
If you show kindness one day, that is my hope

2. O stable companions, I tend to their reins of friendship
Even if they break their promises and pacts

3. I shepherd the days I spent close to them
I did not ask them for the succession of days

4. O you who pour from a water in it
Is there a place to quench my thirsty soul?

5. So I have folded my wings over your love
And disobeyed the blame of blamers in you

6. So take from the bosom of my heart the rest
If not for you, time would not have taken my reins

7. Why didn't you allow a visit, you would have found it
Coupled with vastness and honor

8. He revived the meadows descending in the rain
And watered the living towards the clouds

9. They were hostile, so they left nothing for the dispossessed
Except the burning anguish and love

10. From all I love, none turned their gaze
Except I remembered your gentle glances

11. O guide of the camels that are disturbed by the descent
Take to the cheek replacement and my shelter

12. By God, if you are determined to that fever
Convey my greetings and peace to Umayma

13. Since the light of their suns disappeared from my eyes
The eyelids did not taste the sweetness of sleep

14. Why did the pigeons stir sorrow for me at the abode of grief
These pigeons intend to bring my pigeons

15. It recites the warbles of passions with its love
Do you think the warbles of leaves are like my warbles?

16. Rise up my companion and give it to me brimming
For living between drinking companions and wine

17. When it shines in a cup, you have emptied it
A lightning that sparkled amid the clouds

18. The cups dance in their approach
Like the dance of spirits in bodies

19. The horses of joy carried us for a while
And living is like the soft growing branch

20. Days whose purpose turns against us
Purpose is like the delusions of dreams

21. Promises of eyelids from it with a visit
That auspicious time was none other than guessing

22. So intercede your visit which you visited me
And the night had let down the curtains of darkness

23. When the remover of darkness uncovered for me
And I lost in its fondness my pains

24. And its glances shot arrows of youth
So that arrow has hit the heart, that shooter

25. No wonder if the heart swoons for it
For love is commissioned with my passions

26. How does the gazelle hunt me down as prey
I am accustomed to the gazelle being prey to the hunter

27. I swoon in love for beauty in my amorous verse
And in praising the father of eulogy, Al-Natham

28. The jurist of the two Iraqs, whose knowledge
Baghdad prided itself over Syria’s land

29. Where are the clouds compared to Anmul’s generosity
For generosity springs from generosity

30. If the downpour of clouds was scarce in its rain
His cloud at all times is my shelter

31. He still has a gentle name from gentleness
Like the smile of flowers in buds

32. His mouth grins at the hopeful one
And such is the flickering of the sharp lightning

33. What is between his wondrous speech and heart
A chest overflowing with a surging sea of knowledge

34. He revived by it the Divine Law and guidance
And upheld in it the rituals of Islam

35. His warmth and eloquence benefit people
Two excellences, the excellence of dew and speech

36. Wisdoms upon the rational people he disseminates
Precise in positions and rulings

37. And he shows you in his words and speech
The magic of minds and confusion of understandings

38. How much his words expressed his state
One day rendering the speech of non-Arabs inarticulate

39. He turned for people the cup of proof
So people fell like victims, that cup

40. Of every virtue and merit
He has attained an exalted position

41. By him good traits and highness were completed
And beauties of things completed

42. Who can congratulate the visitors for a master
Whose innate disposition is inclined to generosity

43. And tell his attainer, asker of his grace
You are greeted among the generous and honorable

44. By many an opinion in matters, experienced
His tents suffice, dispensing with obstructers

45. The vicissitudes of time, a dive from his limit
As if he in tribulations is the edge of a sword

46. By God, the brave never conquered with his spear
As his hands conquered with pens

47. And groups not routed in a discussion
Tasted with him the bitterness of rout

48. With eloquence, skill, and firmness
Falling upon the ignorant like arrows

49. If the ignorant envy you for deterrence
The generous are only envied by the vile

50. The masters of the world boasted of you
You are the pride of the highest nobles

51. O Kaaba, I came seeking its pilgrimage
So I brought my poetry, assuming pilgrim sanctity

52. A year for you for the Feast and your face is its Feast
So let it pride upon the years for it

53. I am not pleased with you even if you grant prizes
But your pleasure is my goal and hope
