1. The clouds watered the ruins and gave freely,
Healing the homes of Salma from sickness.

2. And spread upon our dwellings gently,
The constant rain pouring down in floods.

3. The year has passed in Sareem, and the
Joys of its flowers have wilted and faded.

4. Where wine is sipped and company kept,
And ties rejoined like necklaces beaded.

5. From the blending of youth and vitality,
Comes sought after pleasures and joyous glee.

6. You bring me the sweetness of union, Sadi,
And bless me with the finest company.

7. Yet sorrows oft pierce us like well-aimed arrows,
Planting seeds of grief deep in our marrow.

8. Through nights of turning about restless and aching,
A vintage is steeped, its flavor I'm savoring.

9. Wed to Ibn Muzn, a virtuous man,
Her essence I mix with my bitter pain.

10. Relishing in the joy of the sorrowful,
For in their grief, much delight I gain.

11. May God protect our youth till the days
He reminds them of covenants passed away.

12. Sober awakens the drunken spree,
Exchanging ignorance for wisdom and care.

13. And cries out to the censor, once headstrong,
Seeing the censor's blame as too harsh and long.

14. Who can chide one brought to tears?
Tis kindness to gently shepherd along.

15. The nights have shown me strange wonders,
Tales leaving trails of tears asunder.

16. Would that misfortunes might reconcile with me,
But troubles remain my constant plunder.

17. I pacify my free spirit with empty hopes,
Its desires unreached at each turn and scope.

18. Astray, I reason and say perhaps, maybe, when,
Yet languor drives while fate lands blow upon blow.

19. And if I firmly decide on a mission,
The hand of destiny thwarts my volition.

20. I will attempt it despite all the pain,
Through resolve, somehow, someway.

21. Yes, nights that seared and shattered my bones,
Lost me, though resolve I have not disowned.

22. Curse on time that o'ersteps all bounds,
Crossing lines no feet should have ever known.

23. With ignorance, fools are named wise,
And tales I mocked are seen through their eyes.

24. Turn, O time, and climb to the heights,
Take the good and leave the blights.

25. You missed my wisdom, O ignorant time,
But stupidity amongst your children chimes.

26. How can I be dark in such unwise times,
Even if my knowledge peaked like mountains' climes?

27. Close to the Prophet, called most pure of heart,
And in character, second to none in his part.

28. He was reared by the best of clans steady,
To the best of mankind, nurtured already.

29. He wore a light from venerable years,
Thus the prophetic self evident appears.

30. The noble lineage that rises so high,
None can ever surpass it, reach its sky.

31. Built strong, though noses it makes wrinkle,
No enemy can ever make it buckle.

32. Towers that critics cannot diminish one bit,
Nor the envious find in it a flaw to pick.

33. Look to the Great One of Quraish and behold,
The magnificent moon and lion so bold.

34. Upon our Prophet, God's light is cast,
Dispelling darkness, all shadows outcast.

35. When troubles abound, his call gives us peace,
At his prayer, all that alarmed is released.

36. A healing for breasts, his touch makes well,
Like the longing for honey its sweetness can tell.

37. By my soul, O Noble Hashimite,
Stern yet gentle, strong yet polite.

38. Yours are words that compile and contain,
But make unbelievers scatter in vain.

39. What irrefutable proofs you have wrought,
Leaving the most eloquent tongues distraught.

40. You bring what perplexes minds without cease,
Inspired words and wisdom and peace.

41. You revived this religion with your deep knowledge,
As faith itself was nearing its final edge.

42. You set its laws right, no wavering seen,
None beside God's rule could ever be keen.

43. You angered people, O my Master,
By faults in themselves they could not mask.

44. And pleased others, all due to your graces,
Spreading your favors to all tribes and races.

45. The ignorant from envy hide your glory,
But darkness cannot veil sun's light, that's the story.

46. Your virtues like stars, this is not exaggeration,
Only the blind of heart show negation.

47. My master, I find you worthy of praise,
So accept my eulogy, prose, and lays.

48. And suffice me in rewards with your prayer,
Safety from all woes, protection, care.

49. With it, reward without doubt I will reap,
And by praising you, my sins I shall heap.

50. But my eulogy cannot encapsulate your bounty,
To praise other than you is such calamity.
