Where passion lies and meadows of gazelles

2. My heart was smitten by them and youthfulness grew
Oh how much it encounters from heyman

3. If only they knew from afar my intentions
What would I experience after them and suffer?

4. How can I find solace while my heart's enamored
In a refuge, estranged from consolers

5. Quench your thirst at the valley of al-‘Aqeeq and go
To one resembling you, with twisted ropes

6. In my inner self there is a fire kindled by passion
Passion that stirs up flames

7. Don't accuse me much, my hearing is deafened
To the blamer when he importunes me

8. My friend, have mercy, I see in what I suffer

23. With their glances they seduce lovers
With sharpened and glittering swords

24. I awoke from the intoxication of youth and madness
And relaxed after being blamed and reproached

25. I realized when old age touched my cheeks
That passion is the cause of all disgrace

26. My friend was the soul's kin and passion
Was in my inner self, its abode my side

27. So I shunned him, shunning a friend his companion
After he had settled with me then was rude

28. And I began reciting praise poems
To the master, mighty pillar

29. I gave him necklaces of strung praises
That were not like the twisted ropes' necklaces

30. I heal hearts by praising him and his praise
Is like water that wets the thirsty's throat

31. Indeed all merits and glories
Are with this human being, Ali

32. And if we mention his openhandedness
Debauchery exposes itself to us

33. His virtues encompassed chastity so they did not find
Except someone immersed in his benevolence

34. Peerless in glory, unique of his time
None can match his glory

35. If the chiefs are counted from their masters
The eyes of those chiefs have seen

36. This Hashimite chief - what a human
A human, essence of honor from humans

37. This Ali, so judicious, and son of the exalted
Who by lineage belongs to Adnan

38. How many ears have been pierced by his virtues
Recited in every tongue

39. And if his beauty and majesty are witnessed
The eyes see what the ears do not hear

40. If insignificance claimed against him pride
It would not then need proof

41. They attained leadership, rule, and supremacy
The sons of Abdul Qadir al-Kilani

42. Sheikh of the path and truth, exemplar
Luqman from what came from Luqman

43. Secrets were unveiled though they are subtleties
That tapped on thoughts and minds

44. Succor of the screaming refugee at his door
Neither refusing nor hesitating

45. Since he succeeded, alive, in his Lord's honor
And from honor succeeded in being pleased

46. And from gifts his follower is still
Given increased faith and belief

47. Whoever visits his noble tomb provides him
With the soul from his spiritual provision

48. The atheists with their claims cannot deny
What the two weighty things have witnessed

49. And if a young man is included in his care
It enriches beyond supporters and aides

50. He is the axis whose orbit revolves
For eternity and the extent of circling

51. With mystical knowledge, gnosis, and subtleties
That clarify hearts of impurities

52. My Master, you are my goal and aspiration
And to you is my retreat and elucidation

53. You have gained the reward of Ramadan
And profited in it the prize of the fasting month

54. So may the blessed Eid delight you with its return
And peace, last with us Abu Salman
