1. My censurer, do not blame me again,
For I know not what is misguidance or guidance.

2. Who will convey to me that I have perished,
Yet my longing remains immortal forever.

3. Your rebuke benefits me not,
And whoever calls it justice has transgressed.

4. None knows better than I what I have experienced,
While the blamer missed the mark intentionally.

5. I blame my agony, and whenever
I want to extinguish my passion, it blazes anew.

6. Oh my dear ones, my heart is lost - do you know it?
The stirrer of my soul when they left as redemption.

7. I grieve only for the life of a lover
Who spent it while you were distant in vain.

8. My eyelids were unaware of you for years,
While my eyes in your love remained sleepless.

9. Alas! The day companionship's delight departed,
Finding intimacy's path blocked when it drew near.

10. Nights in which living was verdant,
Delicate in description, abundant in wishes.

11. My companions, how generous time was in bestowing them,
Did the days ever withhold their gaze?

12. They made us taste the quintessence of purpose, as if
Clustered on the cheeks of days when they blushed.

13. Your hearts were harsh to me, but no wonder -
My fortunes return water when frozen back to liquid.

14. Had it not been for fate, I'd not have enjoyed
Kindling in you the flint of earnestness to spark.

15. Your aversion increased, persisting in estrangement,
Your estrangement nearly exhausted the furthest span.

16. He whom emaciation has wasted in sickness,
Collapsing, but who shows fortitude finds strength returned.

17. My patience after your long absence
Has mastered a forbearance revealing endurance.

18. I remind my abode of the dwellings, perhaps
It will convey those homes' aims to me.

19. When the ruins came with their features,
They began to bemoan the agony of our separation.

20. I call to the group with lament for their dweller -
Would that he might hear my voice!

21. Yearning tosses him about from every side
If memories recur, echoing in his breast.

22. Whenever his mention passes the devoted,
It renews their passion to blaze anew.

23. The dazzling life with you after you left
Remains gloomy, blackened in complexion.

24. Separation saw us united in nearness,
So disseminated us with intention to disperse.

25. The fragrance of that union was a bouquet from the garden of your proximity,
Thousands of my longings chirp whenever the breeze blows.

26. Your revivals never fully returned to consciousness,
Becoming tomorrow as they were tonight, and tonight as they'll be tomorrow.

27. And longing roamed the desolate plains of your abandonment,
He who exceeded the solitary in piety gained provisions.

28. I stray, yet am guided by your love, which bends toward me,
Guiding visibly and attaining the right path.

29. The guidance of Abdullah Obeid to truth, it is
A radiant star of direction in which guidance finds illumination.

30. He knew every knowledge in existence and its existence,
While none but the sword and dew knew his right hand.

31. He solves problems' knots with his judgment
When subtle meanings and wisdoms grow complex.

32. He revives the lessons of knowledge in the knowledge he studied
Until the traces of virtues appeared as he began.

33. By your life, let the eminent man boast over the vile
Who sees the most eminent as glory and vile as eminent!

34. His speech is more eloquent than the path of eloquence -
Pens bow down in humility to transcribe it.

35. Through him they overcame the sorrows and rough terrain of sciences,
While the most facile thing for him is what seemed most arduous.

36. When his enemies kindled the fire of falsehood,
He stirred the truth against it one day and extinguished it.

37. If he aspired to the means of heaven he would attain it,
Running in the arena of purpose without fatigue.

38. He inclined only to worship and piety,
As if devils of temptation were shackled from him.

39. He is none but the axis of the circle of exaltation,
An imam for the masters of spiritual paths to follow.

40. His right hand attains the blessings of success -
He never extended except toward his Creator.

41. No hopes reached their goal without his wealth,
Nor was any fresh water drunk but from that sweet spring.

42. Oh clouds flooding the pilgrims with your rain,
His hands were a source of dew for the thirsty.

43. If the eternal glory endeavored for his station,
That glory would struggle for glory through him!

44. The appearance of his nature's generosity
Had always an appointed time for those virtues.

45. He planted with piety in the most fertile soil,
As excellent as the origin when it thrived.

46. He spends his days fasting for God's sake,
And invigorates his nights praying devoutly.

47. When the eras claimed none like him came,
He emulated what he claimed and took its model.

48. He paved a methodology for the noble Divine Law -
He made the foundations of God's religion facilitated.

49. His inner state's management was inwardly
Guiding the people of truth to rectitude.

50. A follower of the Law he tended toward,
His school inclined to Ahmad's way.

51. Only when asked would his answer come
Swifter than the echo responds to the speaker.

52. He attained from those whose merit filled the horizon
Counting his hands through the tongues of enemies.

53. God's wisdom in what He granted you -
Abolishing ignorance in you, granting knowledge.

54. You strove and prosperity comes through striving the Lord,
Becoming the happiest in the breast of fortune.

55. Oh blossom! You are the garden's blossom entire!
The branch of pride grazed you, making you supreme.

56. You appeared, and the sun's light cannot be obscured,
The guide to spreading your fame became limited through mention of you.

57. Whenever a master of glory passed from you,
He established for you, at glory's station, a master.

58. And your mention - until God fulfills His decree -
Will last, enduring throughout time eternal.

59. Their oaths affirm what you claim,
Whenever the eras swear you are unparalleled!

60. And when lineage called you one day to its branch,
You came, leaving no source for people.

61. The bearers of excellences from your side have narrated
A truthful, supported account of the eminent.

62. And they transmit about you all praise and laudation
As your perfection relates to us what it conveyed.

63. An aid and refuge whose munificence has no peer,
A shelter for whoever sought refuge, a helper in need.

64. You attained by the care of providence a rank
Your enemy meets as the site of perdition.

65. It suffices that your adversary in his intentions
Made the night of your estrangement eternal for him.

66. Despite your adversaries you said, chronicling:
Abdullah's fatwa continues to be followed.
