2. Passing by my hearing like the passing of the winds.
It is forbidden for me by the religion of love,

ุฑูุฑ ุงูุฑูููุงุญ
3. To heed what the slates proclaim.
And sometimes intoxication increases me,

ู ุนูููู ุจุฏูู ุงูุบุฑุงู
ุฑูููู ุฅูู ู
ุง ุชููู ุงูููููุงุญู
4. When the ardour of love touches me.
And one day in the heedlessness of the watcher
ูค. ููุง ุฑุจููู
ุง ุฒุงุฏูู ุตุจูุฉ
ุฅุฐุง ู
ุง ูุญุงูู ุนูู ุงูุญุจู ูุงุญู
5. I slaughtered the jugular like the ritual sacrifices.
Living is not living except a cup of ease

ุงู ุนูู ุบููููุงุช ุงูุฑููููุจ
ููุญูุฑูุชู ุจู ุงูุฒูู ูุญุฑ ุงูุฃูุถุงุญู
6. And a tender cheeked cupbearer,
In a garden whose leaves rustle

ุง ุงูุนูุดู ุฅูู ูุงูู ุนูุดุงู ูุณุฑู
ุณูู ูุฃุณู ุฑุงุญู ูุฎูุฏู ุฑุฏุงุญ
7. And its foliage excites me to lament.
And I have dyed the gardens of clove gillyflowers
ูง. ุจุฑูุถู ุชูุตูููููู ุฃูุฑุงูู
ูุชุทุฑูุจููู ููุฑูููู ุจุงููููุงุญ
8. And the drops have kissed the lips of apple blossoms.
I indulged my eyes in those meadows,
ูจ. ููุฏ ุถุฑูุฌุช ูุฌูุงุช ุงูุดููููู
ููุจูููู ุจุงููุทุฑ ุซุบุฑ ุงูุฃููุงุญ
9. Where my morning cup makes me joyful.
And the glance of that charming gazelle
ูฉ. ุฃูุณูุฑููุญู ุทุฑูู ุจุชูู ุงูุฑูููุงุถ
ุจุญูุซ ุงุบุชุจุงูู ูุญูุซ ุงุตุทุจุงุญู
10. Intoxicated me without wine. So are you not surprised
At my spirit, that beauty who
ูกู . ูุฃูุณูุฑูู ุทุฑู ุฐุงู ุงูุบุฑูุฑ
ุจุบูุฑ ุงูู
ุฏุงู
ููู ุฃูููุชู ุตุงุญ
11. Revives the regretful with soul and respite?
He seemed with the face of the living, the forebearing,
ูกูก. ุจุฑูุญู ุฐุงู ุงูู
ููุญ ุงูููุฐู
ูุญููู ุงููุฏุงู
ู ุจุฑููุญู ูุฑุงุญ
12. And acts like the wicked shameless one.
We inclined to the racecourses of the wine,
ูกูข. ุชุฑุงุกูุชู ุจูุฌู ุงูุญููู ุงูุญููู
ูุชูุนููู ููุนููู ุงูุณููููู ุงูููุงุญ
13. And no bird has wings except the winged.
I almost flew in my joy with him,
ูกูฃ. ุฌูุญูุง ุฅูู ุญูุจุงุช ุงูููู
ูููุช
ูููุณ ุนูู ู
ุทุฑุจ ู
ู ุฌูุงุญ
14. And who flies without wings?
A drunk handsome sleeper,
ูกูค. ููุฏูุชู ุฃูุทูุฑู ุณุฑูุฑุงู ุจู
ูู
ู ุฐุง ูุทูุฑ ุจุบูุฑ ุงูุฌูุงุญ
15. As if intoxication still remained in him.
So I pillowed him with my arm, and he plunged

ุณุชู
ูุญ ูุงู
ู
ู ุณูุฑู
ุนูู ุฃููู ููู ุจููููุงุช ุตุงุญ
16. His eyes in mine until the morning.
I embraced in him the place of necklaces
ูกูฆ. ููุณููุฏูุชูู ุณุงุนุฏู ูุงููุฑู
ูุฎูุถ ุจุนูููู ุญุชููู ุงูุตููุจุงุญ
17. And dressed him in place of a face veil.
By God, from the pleasures of youth!
ูกูง. ูุนุงููููุชู ู

ูุงูู ุงูุนููููุฏู
ูุฃูููุจูุณูุชู ู
ูู ู
ูุงู ุงููุดุงุญ
18. By God, from the slips of the shining ones!
From sips I have sipped
ูกูจ. ูููู ู
ู ููุดููุงุช ุงูุตููุจุง
ูููู ู
ู ูููุงุช ุงูู
ูุงุญ
19. Which quench my anguish and remedy my wounds.
I say to him, โCan you bear to arise
ูกูฉ. ูู
ู ุฑุดูุงุชู ุชุฑุดูููุชูุง
ุชุจููู ุบูููู ูุชุฃุณู ุฌุฑุงุญู
20. Even if one at rest extends to take rest?"
The roosters of morning have awakened you
ูขู . ุฃูููู ูู ูู ุชุทูู ุงููููุถ
ููู ู
ูุฏูู ุฑุงุญู ุฅูู ุฃุฎุฐู ุฑุงุญ
21. And we have multiplied the shouts.
He gestured the rising dawn at me
ูขูก. ููุฏ ููุจููููุชููู ุฏูููู ุงูุตููุจุงุญ
ูุฃูููุซูุฑููู ู
ู ุบูุจุงุช ุงูุตููุงุญ
22. And explained outright the word 'rest'.
So I handed him the filled cup

ู ุฅูููู ุจูุงุช ุงูุตูุจูุญ
ูุตุฑููุญู ูู ููุธ ุฑุงุญ ุตุฑุงุญ
23. And sang to him with correct rhymes.
And so my spinning was all mine

24. And to Salman was all my praise.
