1. We rode the ship of smoke,
And reached the furthest desires.

2. When its orbit turned and spun around,
It is like the spinning of the spheres.

3. Then we travelled, and the birds envied us,
For the quickness of our flight.

4. The sea beats fearfully as it flows,
And that which is in it is safe.

5. The more the steam carries its path far,
The more the journey brings everything near.

6. The wisdom of the people perfected its making,
And their intellects refined it meticulously.

7. I see them as nothing but people,
Who remain from the remnants of Greece.

8. They have extracted with intellects every wonder,
That we found in ancient times.

9. And they built for the Most High elevated structures,
That the owner of the palace falls short of.

10. So they are in time knowledge and pride,
And a standing that rises above the celestial sphere.
