29. Kindled like glowing embers in discernment,
And with gentle temperament, gentle like water.

30. So its suns of virtues shone from him
Appearing upon the world without any concealment.

31. And his words rose above our minds,
So they were depicted as stars of Capricorn.

32. That fluency and eloquence have remained
Moons of a horizon or stars of a sky.

33. How abundantly has a hand poured from his hands
For which we are thankful, for that white hand.

34. Yes, by Him Who made the loftiness of his glory
A joy for the friend and a sorrow for the enemy!

35. We sensed from the clouds of his attainment
A succession of favors with blessings.

36. Alas! His generosity relates to the living,
While the rain is held back by the clouds.

37. It is a sea - if the hopeful seeks its pearls -
So its heavy rains pour upon him.

38. If it is said he settled in Az-Zawra',
Then know that glory is in Az-Zawra'.

39. Your knowledge spread in all the lands
Like the dawn when it fills the space with light.

40. And you have intelligence as if its proof
Clads its brilliance in the splendor of intelligence.

41. And you looked upon things with the eye of a knower
Until you knew the realities of things.

42. And you uncovered obscure mysteries of knowledge
In which were the confusion of the wise.

43. You exercised God's judgment among His servants,
So by your judgment the banner of jurists rose.

44. And it is as if revelation comes to you, so
The marvels of prose and poetry appeared to you.

45. And for you the pens did against the enemy's viscera
What the heroes do in battles.

46. When you articulated with your fingers,
You silenced the eloquent tongues.

47. You made them weep, and they smiled at their weeping,
The garden of virtues, not gardens of great ones.

48. So if you praise, you praise without ulterior motive
In it, and without inclined to ostentation.

49. So congratulations on this feast, you are its feast,
O my joy, beyond all others, and my delight!

50. And reward your servants with your satisfaction, for it
And your father are the goal of my pursuit and hope!

51. You remain unparalleled in what you have given
Of loftiness, merit and sublimity.
