I parted with the soul from my body because of you

Composed without having actually said anything

4. If only their claim was true, and they were not lying
The one who would believe me is not my claim

5. O mistress of the cheeks whom I relied upon
Killing me and bringing me out to my sickness

6. If I had a grudge against you, I would not
Have approached you safely, secure from my injustice

7. And a fawn in a time whose wickedness
Passion grows with it as it grows

8. She glanced, and when she was serious, she has no
Excuse if she is blamed for lack of interest

9. So when I complained of passion, she turned against me
Punishing me without a crime

10. If the slanderers had power
They would not have allowed you to visit my dream

11. You visited the family as they slept vigilantly
Tossing and turning, restless on their mattresses

12. They laid their cheeks on their arms
While the night was clothed in its darkness

13. And you certainly knocked, though your knocking was not
Known to their watchman, nor did they pelt stones

14. Some spineless men passionately desire
That I went out to them in the dream

15. And one of them wants me to indulge him
One who has no weight in my imagination

16. They throw me, and their ignorant one wishes
That I throw them back as they throw me

22. The people consider me as their opponent
Passion and opinion never unite

23. Opinion sees clearly while passion blinds
If you, O friend, deny what

24. Your eyes picked up in me of worries
Then pass your cup, while it is overflowing,

25. Around without stinting on generosity
Do not give it to me then fine me

26. Something I resent paying for
May your guidance reach the servant of God, and your abundance

27. The King of Kings of Arabs and non-Arabs
From one who speaks praise of His blessings

28. And His continuous, abundant generosity
You are the one who granted me favors

29. That my prose and poetry did not enumerate
And you raised me above being called

30. So you called me noble without a name
O son of those who assumed peaks

31. In generous deeds, impregnable from destruction
They settled the highlands, and did not rise in nobility

32. Until they rose above nobility over the stars
None of their neighbors fears spending the night with them

33. Nor does one who has pact with them fear injustice
They exhausted the eminence of men, yet gently

34. Exhausted the gentleness of dispraise
With fingers that shine when pinched

35. And strong fists and thick forearms
From every filthy, despicable coward

36. Full of vileness and resolution
A people who rain terror

37. Upon the enemy’s land with wounds and determination
They do not warn them even if they flee

38. A homeland without the clanging of swords
And with arms that extract heavily, carrying

39. Either eggs or a spear made silent
Help your ancestors, as they guaranteed

40. Success, determination, and resolve
Like a lion stalking its prey

41. Then supporting the hunt with determination
And take the one whom you have partly imprisoned

42. Waiting for your inescapable call
And unite its ends, for the strength

43. Of men does not compare to bonding
And choose for yourself whom you subdued, for what

44. The spear was carried on was the forearm
Do not scorn a small thing that presents itself

45. For poison fills the smallest crevices
Their tiny ones are their mighty ones tomorrow

46. And from the elephant are the shoots of the palm tree
Were it not for men’s conspiracies,

47. The rocks of Nuq would not slip with steadfastness
And what is in the sea of wonders

48. Would not have been attained by people in the sea

49. And the lion, were it not for fear of its assault
And penetration, would be leveled with the animals

50. So hand over the Kingship of Kings to us, even if
The world misses war and is in peace

51. And have joy on the day of celebration, and take
Whatever you wish of extra and of spoils

52. You will remain forever without diminishing or blemish
In the glory of an impenetrable kingdom

53. Roasting its shots, while none can deafen it
And roar when you are called for rhyme

54. That will remain like its unshakeable rocks
Its meanings were true, so none but the composer

55. Deserves anything but the composition
Veiled from all but you, as ignorance

56. Veiled understanding from the intelligent one
No shortcoming in it but one

57. As the full moon wanes the night it becomes smaller
I sprouted it equalling only myself, so it deserves

58. Me to recite it and that position
And if I am deprived of delivering it by my hand
