1. Had fate not rushed them they'd have been lost in hesitation
Though courageous, holding back from taking risks

2. Is it right that each time the wine circulated
The teardrops flowed from eyes that shed no tears before?

3. Yearning for those who left has kindled embers
That weren't lit, though blood flowed copiously

4. Suppressed longing and hidden grief should be expressed
It’s only right that emotions like these appear

5. My shedding tears wasn't patience but an act
Not to show my sadness though my heart was torn

6. Heeding the call of fate, show us midst white domes
Deaths reddened by blood that sparingly flowed

7. Those tender girls who went away for a time
Seemed to be gone for months though they left but days

8. They left in haste over meadow’s soft mud while their love
Next morn, made eyes flow like seas they embarked on

9. Shunning the road, leaving in hearts their cruel love
More rugged than high mountains they’d have to cross

10. Yearning aimlessly wanders never reaching hearts
Already filled, locked away from reminiscing

11. I sought that era but found it not though time
Lost excuses those who lose the path to guidance

12. A greeting to the ghosts of Mayya and Mufaddal
Dearer dead than living, their visions bring me joy

13. That brief sweet time of being with them that passed
As if their promised date to visit was delayed

14. I grieve not o’er your silver hair but youth’s prime
Fulfills all dreams then brightly shines before it fades

15. Grey hair comes to all whose lives are spared to reach
That stage before they're lowered into the earth

16. The time of youth did not allow gentility
Or rain upon you generously flowing wine

17. Ofttimes my gown flowed in your shade faithfully
While by your pool promises grew fresh and green

18. Days when a deer calls when passions stirs in me
And imaginations run free when night descends

19. A dove moans within an empty monastery
I think it is the echo rather than the dove

20. A hero whose courage deceives foes should you meet
When war calls he will bare his sharpened sword

21. Don’t ask him to play the flute in empty days
But ask him to rouse steeds frothing at the bit

22. To strike down the helmet crown or pierce the links
Of a coat of mail or make sharp spears to hit

23. And bear down on armored horses neighing loud
Breathing heavily stirring clouds of swirling dust

24. My tribe who when ways to guidance shone clear
Left the faith’s path in our lives dark and confused

25. Vanquished the established ways of old nobility
And went beyond those ways with outliers' views

26. Among them many obstinate, miserly ones
Who bring, when they wish, disaster roaring loud

27. Argues and when war calls upon him to serve
It leads him, his sword sharp and ready to draw

28. Generous, he always deserves high rank’s reward
For his nobility on days we're called to speak

29. High above others his illusion carries him
The day he takes the pulpit, he climbs to its peak

30. He gathers beauty to beauty, though he only
Tells the one praised what's said, the news conveyed

31. Ask them of Badr, ask of Uhud, ask of her
Who drove the army's forehead back blood-stained in shame

32. Praise those horsemen at Khaybar who carried out
A task preventing the awful deeds of tyrants

33. They tore down the Jews rule, and stirred up in hearts
Sorrow and regret, writhing in agony

34. Drawing swords they advanced, determined and brave
Fearless warriors who could not be swayed or deterred

35. When a hero leapt up, his soul aflame
Undying, courage unmatched, could not go astray

36. If he descended fiercely attacking or spoke truths
Plainly stated or sought purely something sublime

37. They dyed him yellow with their flashing blades as though
Saffron blood stained him with its yellowness

38. Eagles tore at his corpse, after tearing for so long
At his shoulder blades while he walked the earth alive

39. As for the Prophet, he showed his loyalty
Though warning the unjust would not make them heed

40. He spoke truths plainly, not equivocating
And praised a mention not made to deceive

41. He bowed them to his will and made of him
A banner for salvation raised up to see

42. The day of Ghadir healed souls that were chilled until
They were warmed, while others still felt the sting

43. It stirred up hatred in them but he is a place
Of return for souls and preventing cries of pain

44. Oh rider, around whom sorrows danced in circles
Bringing worries to rest at his court, so they fled

45. Come view, for in it rests a mountain submitted
Bowed down until settled firm in earth’s embrace

46. Give him greetings, though tired of him, for he is one
Veils lifted for, seeing clearly the dawn’s first rays

47. If I could, I would stay forever in those tombs
Among flowers, until my body there decays
