1. I saw you occupied with undisclosed affairs,
One preoccupation leads only to another preoccupation.

2. If those matters preoccupy you from others,
May Allah cure them of their harms.

3. But if they hinder your evil,
Blessed are those wise preoccupations!

4. No good in one forgotten by hope, no
Intentions of hope approach him.

5. And none of them spent a night, even if
His abode were far removed, except anxious and distressed.
