3. It grieves you that I dwell in your abode of love,
Yet you are capacious despite the harshness of fate.

4. That instant we stole from prudence’ grasp,
Warned by fingers signaling our parting.

5. You pardoned a resolute man engulfed in sorrow,
Deaf to the reproaches of blamers while hearing.

6. My friend, Time has many troops,
Yet I love him without regret.

7. And we were told loyalty is an exchange,
So why should I give its essence to one who refuses?

8. Behind men's smiles, bosoms seethe with rage,
While courtesy wrestles impropriety.

9. The days have marched in pairs and alone,
Wresting from me a trait not easily tamed.

10. Content with the attainable fortunes,
When greed extends its hand, even little contents.

11. Vile deeds lure souls into committing them,
But the virtuous soul veers from evil, wrestling temptation.

12. I turned from those deeds, caring not for reunion,
As a devout man shuns the daring advances of maids.

13. I concealed the secret sentiments of youths,
For a young man’s heart should not spread his secrets.

14. They asked Fate about its hidden truths,
But they have no intercessor save their own trials.

15. When hopes are blocked for the adamant soul,
The humble man retreats from gaining glory.

16. To you I herded my concerns, fearing any misdeed,
Regretting the likes yet quick to repeat them.

17. I appointed the night to blanket the earth in darkness,
And the dawn to give life to the blackness.

18. Without you, joy could not fully bloom
Despite plentiful means at my disposal.

19. You it is who, had I not sung your praises,
Would have undertaken my odes as their maker.

20. Firm in opinion among perilous straits,
Tempests of adversity never shake him.

21. Dignified, so if weakness befalls him,
Patience loses not composure, nor zeal deference.

22. Vigilant when isolation tests his resolve,
Nor do gatherings erode his composure.

23. The summits of glory were his life’s aims,
And a lofty branch surpassed even the stars.

24. Generous, though hopes erode his giving,
The rain's downpour falls short of his cloudburst.

25. He threw failure at those envious of him,
Their despairing souls wrestling tenacity.

26. When he attained grand feats, they were blinded,
While he soared, they flailed in grasping futility.

27. Below attaining his stature, aspirants’ path
Lies open, guarded by the Lord of Providence.

28. How they probed his faults' hidden crevices,
Yet seeking faults only spread repute.

29. People are but one, though temperaments differ,
And natures vary in their diverse deeds.

30. Your ransom is he who regrets past wrongs,
As skills of old fall from his grasp.

31. Remote from hopes, impervious to queries,
Nor does he await gifts from those coveting favors.

32. The people know you stand among them
A barrier breaching minds benighted.

33. They shook you, prattlers mouthing ignorance,
But events cleansed the corners of his essence.

34. When their notions sprouted and shaded them
From truth, the gloomy dreams of fancies danced.

35. You saved them when unity’s robe was torn,
As soundness turned from spreading rents.

36. With resolve procuring guaranteed triumph
And wisdom ensuring successful pursuits.

37. You sufficed them the judge, and bid farewell
To the past with perspective on what transpired.

38. As for those concealing rancor,
Malice for you remains in their breasts a barrier.

39. When exalted exchanges reach his comprehension,
He spews nonsense to obscure your repute.

40. If an oversight of yours perplexes him,
He wishes the eyes had never witnessed it.

41. You wished him forbearance to cure his evils,
Though some sagacity in twisted ignorance is lost.

42. Relent and lessen your concerns, for what
Hopes demand cannot be what you gather.

43. Those matters have been reviewed and now return
To you with what years revisiting bring.

44. What the days had relaxed their grip upon
Are rights preceded by harbingers of delegations.

45. You enjoyed the days of fasting, as a youth enjoys
Doffing his cloak for verdant garden blooms.

46. Without you the feast is but a mirage,
While your face gives dawn its radiating bloom.

47. You granted Time life, submitting
To the ravages of fate or overcoming calamities.
