1. Life is but a passage
How many have passed before us

2. You have in it a crossing
So beware not to be among the oblivious

3. It is the source of evils
For the ignorant and harsh forgetful one

4. In it how much have been lost
For those who worked before it got dark

5. So remember the deceased
And work and do not feel assured

6. Do not end up remains
And you did not prepare your burial place

7. Arise before it is too late
And earn and roll up your sleeves

8. And seek all light
Your dawn, your departure, and the shackles

9. And correct the heart
To correct all states

10. You will attain what you desire
And never see any horrors

11. And leave it to the servants
And seek the highest of deeds

12. You will be praised on the day of resurrection
When you see the people of loss

13. O Giver of bounty
O Lord, O Lord, O Lord

14. Look upon the ailing one
Reform him before he is ruined

15. Do good, O Beautiful One
And make him, near You, brought close
